Been a while..

September 23rd, 2011
[ mood | disappointed ]

This thing brings back a ton of amazing memories. Since my last post I graduated from the University of Michigan and am now living in Japan. I've been here for over a year now teaching English and the distance is getting hard, especially since it's nearing Halloween. I miss my friends...my family...the comforts of fall in the States.

My goal is to be back by next summer. We'll see how that pans out though since Chris wants to be here at least 2 more years. ;(

My list [Saturday

I want to start drawing again.

I want to learn how to play guitar.

I want to play more video games.

I want to study Japanese more.

I always ruin it somehow.

Back..with WoW updates \^o^/ [Monday
June 4th, 2007
Welp, this summer hasn't even really felt like a summer. I don't know why. It just feels like a long weekend from school. I must admit, I miss Ann Arbor like crazy. It hasn't been a bad summer, though-it has been great actually!

Chris and I hang out pretty much everyday. No surprises there! :D He and I work now, so that keeps us a tad busy. He at Jimmy Johns and McD's for me. >< If anyone complains about working fast food, trust me, those complaints are legit.

Other than that, the biggest event of the summer is JAPAN! Chris and I will be studying in Japan for 6 weeks. I really can't wait. My nerves are starting to get to me though. It'll be nice to be in class again..and even better to be able to wander around Japan! I'm looking forward to interacting with people, getting into the culture, and capturing it all in pictures. <3

One thing I may, kinda miss is WoW. I have so much to do in that game now. I wanna run more instances, get keyed for heroics, and grind rep to get into heroics. On top of that, I want to find a good holy spec, for when I do go back to holy...and of course the gear! I would love to have two decent sets of gear- holy and dps. ;D

Here's Galiene!Collapse )

Fall '07 Schedule [Wednesday
April 11th, 2007
[ mood | accomplished ]

In the off chance that I don't get accepted to Nursing School here's my schedule:

8:30-10: Intro. to Developmental Psychology
2:30-4: Japanese Culture
4-6: Project Outreach
8:30-10: Dev. Psych
3-4: Japanese Culture
UROP meetings every other Wednesday
12-1: Dev. Psych
2:30-4: Japanese Culture

No Friday classes!

Even if I don't get into Nursing School, I still love my schedule for next year. :D I might try to fit Japanese 3 in there. Although Japanese is really getting to me atm, I still want to learn the language.

Wiiiiiiiii [Saturday
December 9th, 2006
So, last week Chris and I camped out in front of Toys R Us to get a Wii. We were 9th and 10th in line and lets just say..it was a long 9hours waiting outside in the cold. :p Thankfully, I had my car there, so we were able to go in there on and off. Anyways..no Chris and I are obsessed with the Wii..and I'm currently selling my on ebay to make a little profit. ;)

This week was the last full week of school. It's going by so fast! Almost faster than high school. o.o We also had to register for Winter semester and as of right now I have Intensive Japanese II (yay!) and Psychology. I tried to get into a Womens Study course but the second I went to sign up it was full. I'm gonna go the first day of class and try to get in anyway.

I also finally came out. (About my desire to want to dance)Since I'm only taking two classes next semster (but that's a full-time load at 14 credits) I decided to take a modern dance class at a studio near UofM. I've wanted to dance for so long..but have just been shy to tell people about it...mainly my parents since all they can see me as a tom boy who likes bmx and basketball. Also, since I'll be close to the studio in the summer I think I'll take another modern class and one in ballet. I really, really want to learn ballet..so I hope it works out!

I got my first purple piece tonight!

Too bad four hours in WoW meant I slacked on my hw for the night. ;)

October 11th, 2006
Man, I don't update this thing much.
This weekend was mine and Chris' one year! To be exact, Sunday was our one yea. <3 Like every morning it was spent waking up next to m'love. Chris had to go meet his OMS group for work, so I messed around on WoW..and eventually got ready. I finally got to give him his Claddagh ring. :] He actually wears it! lol Although he has big knuckles and the ring still irritates 'em a bit. lol We spent the day walking around Ann Arbor and the weather was absolutely perfect. We walked down Main for somewhere to eat, and finally gave in to BDs.mmm We made ourself bigs and left. <33 Unfortunately after that we had to go back and start homework. We both had a lot to work on. I think I played WoW a bit while he was working on hw, too. It was a perfect day and perfect anniversary.
This is what Chris got me for our one year! -- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16823175001

This is Galiene! lvl 60 and 4 pieces of Devout, so far. She better have Prophecy soon!Collapse )
Oh, I aslo got to play in ZG with the guild the other day! It was so awsome being with guildies! Some PUG's were so f-ing terrible..it was nice being with people who know how to play! (Not saying I'm too great yet..I'm really not) I killed Chris once. oops. :]

Anyway, I'm coming home this weekend! With Kuri of course. <3 I'm so~ happy, you have no idea! I miss my sister and my t so much. It'll be a nice four day weekend. It's been so stressful with Calc. I want to do well. Thank God the test is over. Also, because of the four day weekend I only have one day of Calc next week. Another plus to the weekend! Ima try to see Wallie sometime Sunday before Ferry Corsten which will be nice. Then a freaking amazing night with Chris at bleu! Ahhh, this weekend can't come soon enough.

Tomorrow won't be too bad. Japanese from 10-1 as usual. Then an individual conference with Sato sensei. :( I'm not doing as well as I wish I was. I've kinda been slacking on Japanese to get my butt ready for the Calc exam today. Tomorrow night I'm going to Paul's to watch more South Park. woot.

As for now..Ima go eat and relax. I don't even want to think about homework for another hour. ><

And I want to say sorry to a certain person. Thank you for putting up with me this week. I really hate taking it out on you when you're constantly there for me. You didn't do anything wrong..you were just trying to make me feel better. I'm sorry I didn't realize how bad I was acting sooner. :( I'll make it up to you! You are my everything..thank you for being you! Gosh..you're amazing.

My first night in MC; I'm such a nub!Collapse )

September 21st, 2006
So, this week has gone be extremely fast. Actually, most weeks seem to be going by fast. It's almost October. o.O

I was kind of stressed this week because of Calculus. I didn't do that great on the first quiz, but it turns out the average wasn't that high, and when it comes down to it, scores are based off of the averages. Which is good for this weeks quiz also. haha. I would have done better if I used the right variables for the first question instead of practically solving it wrong then going back and realizing what I did. woops. Damn reading the problem wrong. Ah well. We're getting into actual Calc stuff now. Yay no more damn review.

Japanese is going good so far. I had my first meeting with 砂糖先生 on Tuesday. He told me to participate more since I have studied before and it could help other students. We also had to do a little "skit" type thing which wasn't bad. It was just basically there to go over vocab and sentence structure we have learned so far. Which trust me, isn't much.
Here's a sample of what we're doing now:
毎日 大学 で 日本語 を 勉強します。
I study Japanese at the university everyday. Granted, we haven't offically been taught that 漢字, so I'll have to remember NOT to use it on the test/homework. :p
I love that class so far. Lunch table can get pretty interesting to. I just need to become more comfy around Chris and actually speak with him. :[

Creative writing is..writing. I was able to make an ending for a cliff hanger I wrote a while ago which was really awesome. I've wanted to finish that story for so long. Maybe I'll upload it on here later tonight for the few who actually still keep track of this thing. I get to touch up a story I submitted to her last week which means I have it easy and just need to throw in some things. I already have ideas, so that's a plus. =]

Shei seems like it'll be fun. (A Japanese magazine..www.sheimagazine.com) :] I will hopefully be helping with the layout a bit. I'm excited.

Other than that..I gave blood yesterday and originally felt really great about doing it. Well, I missed dinner last night in order to donate, and because Chris and I were out. :p Then I waited till the last minute to do some hw due by 11p.m. last night (that Chris helped me a lot with! Thank you!) and missed the half ass before it closed. I was so weak last night and still kinda am today from the lack of drinks/food since getting blood drawn. You're supposed to drink 8 glasses of water a day, after giving blood you're supposed to add on another 4..That so didn't happen. Woopsy! Never doing that again. lol

This weekend is LTJ Bukem at Necto. Chris is a giddy little boy for that and Ferry Corsten. (I'm dragging his butt to Panic! At the Disco in November) teehee

Anyway, time to go lay down. :]

Mini-Update [Monday
September 11th, 2006
The first week at UofM is done.

Japanese is going to be great. Right now it's review for me, but it's only gonna be a little while until we learn new stuff, and then I'll be lost with the rest of the class. Our lunch tables are so pathetic. We can't speak Japanese at all. At most it's Andrew spitting out random phrases and sometimes me also. Paul, Brandon, and Evan are going to be there today though, so it'll be good times.

Calculus..is well..Calculus. I have no idea how I'm going to do in that class, but I like that we have team homework, and the teacher seems really sweet. We'll see how it goes. ;]
Creative Writing will be fine. Writing one paper a week will probably get to me after a month or so, but hopefully the prof. can keep it somewhat entertaining somehow.

I love being able to wake up at 9-9:30 everyday though. Ah :] Something I couldn't do at OU. haha And only one class Wednesday and Fridays is nice.

今 日本語 の クラス。

(Almost one year, bunny!) <3

September 1st, 2006
日本語 の テスト is done! It wasn't even really a test..which is good. Twas more of just a meeting with 砂糖先生。He saw that I had some old papers from OU (I was studying with those as well as Genki I) and looked it over and asked how many 漢字 I know. We learned around 180 with Frump 先生。 He then asked me to read out of Genki for him and continued to ask some questions. He said that this class should be pretty easy for me especially in the beginning, but Japanese 2 I would have a tough time with. (No surprises there..I studied at OU! haha)
He also remembered seeing me with Chris last year which was sweet. =]
I'm extremely excited for that class now. I'm gonna try damn hard to continue Japanese..even if it will be a bitch with trying to get classes for Nursing School done. ;]

Other than that today has been nice and relaxing. I saw Paul and Evan earlier on my way to meet Chris. Paul is sweet. I got to hang with m'love while he was on lunch break..mmm! I love him!

I just ran into Julie after talking with 砂糖先生。:D

yay I don't feel like such a loner now! haha

ps-Andrew has your KH game, Chris. ;] (In case I forget to tell you when I see you..)

I'm now at UoM!

Okay..time to study some Japanese.

I got a kick outta this [Saturday

August 26th, 2006
Today has so far been one of those days where you can't describe what you're feeling or why you're feeling that way.
I started reading some peoples old livejournal entries from 2004-ish and some of my own. It's weird..I miss high school..I miss the weird shit we did in high school. 11th and 12th grade were the best. So much stuff happened during those years. -shrugs- It's fun to look back on all the jokes and radom adventures.
I'm going to Mel's baby shower today. I think that's why I'm in this mood. I've been thinking about the past and how different everything is.
I've changed so much in the past two years..or even one year. Pink hair, what?
I got a message from Nick Collica and it reminded me of Prom Junior year. lol We had a big circle of kids dancing like idiots..twas great. Unlike senior I actually did dance with my date. hah
This past year (including last summer) has been amazing...minus certain fallouts with people. I love spending time with Chris..even moreso when neither of us are stressed from Club Cyber and the lack of pay. heh School is starting soon so hopefully we can kick eachothers butt to stay on track. Hell, he won't have any problem with it, but I know I'll be crawling to him for help at some points. lol He's so great to me..even if I am too blind to see it sometimes. He wants the best for me..and us..so it's great to have someone who loves to talk and be goofy at the same time.
This is so random, so I think Ima stop it here.

Martin! [Thursday

BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Mark Martin, starting from the pole for the first time in a truck race at Bristol Motor Speedway, made just one pit stop and won the Craftsman Truck Series' O'Reilly 200 on Wednesday night.

And this is why I need to start watching Truck. =)
